On behalf of the Hungarian Society of Cardiology’s Working Group on Cardiac Arrhythmias and Pacing (WGCAP of HSC), we would like to welcome you to the second Budapest International Arrhythmia Symposium (BIAS-2). We are honoured that this two-days in english and 1 day in hungarian scientific symposium is held this time in our amazing capital, Budapest, between 19–21 September 2024.
Our Working Group on Cardiac Arrhythmia and Pacing has been organizing annual scientific congresses of its own since 1998. In 2022, after the lockdown of the COVID pandemic months, we decided to „reopen the windows” and organized the first BIAS congress with an excellent scientific program and more than 200 participants from 13 countries.
Based on the success and the positive feedbacks of the BIAS-1 congress we concurred to organize the second one, to create a place for scientific discussions and „meet the experts” meeting especially for the Central Eastern European (CEE) colleagues. Beside the scientific discussions (including an EHRA Join Session panel), the congress gives the possibility to „pick up” the fancy and new trends in electrophysiology and the event is a perfect place for continuing the personal network within the colleagues and friends.
Beside the scientific program a „round table discussion” with the presidents of the CEE’s Arrhythmology WGs was organized. In this panel we will be able to share our experiences how to conduct the electrophysiology treatment for our patients in different countries, how to create a CEE electrophysiology network and how to find scientific connections to each other.
Last but not least we would like to say thanks to all the members of the Organizing Committee and the Faculty for investing a substantial amount of time and energy into the creation of this congress. The BIAS-2 Faculty consists of members of EHRA, practicing electrophysiologists, CIED specialists, as well as allied professionals from all over Europe and the USA.
Whether you are present here as an invited speaker, a chairman or a member of the audience, we would like to thank you all for your invaluable contribution to our BIAS-2 congress, and looking forward to meet you personally in Budapest
